Glutathione is the body’s strongest internal antioxidant. Glutathione is significantly more powerful than vitamin C or lipoic acid.
As an antioxidant, glutathione attaches to toxic substances like heavy metals and xenobiotics to help neutralize them until they are eliminated. Glutathione is beneficial in modifying those toxic substances to safely excrete them from the body.
It protects cells from free radical damage and helps improve cellular function at all levels (immune function, hormone levels, mitochondrial function, etc.). It is also a cofactor in many bodily processes and is the foundation for the main detoxification pathways in the liver, kidneys, lungs, intestinal lining and other organs.
